GYEJACQUOT

GYEJACQUOT

Founded in 1970 by Daniel and Michel Jaco, the Maison has the same name and is now run by Michelle's sons Cyril and Frederick. It's still a brotherly relationship.

There is no historic champagne area, Grand Cru, but we own about 10 hectares of AOC champagne vineyards in Côte des Bars, Auve, where many wonderful champagnes are produced. The vineyards stretch along the Ource River, especially Pinot Noir. They are particular about quality and individual professionalism. However, I also dream of becoming an even bigger winery so that people all over the world can drink their champagne while maintaining quality.

Cyril and Frederick are in charge of blending, but with the cooperation of the two brewers who have supported the house since its inception. Blending is about giving regularity to the vintage from one year to the next. To do this, we use wines from each tank, taste them individually and blend them with wines from other tanks and reserve wines (here up to 5 years of reserve).

The clay-limestone soils of Kimerizien, which are found throughout the Orb region, bring freshness to Chardonnay and minerals to Pinot Noir.

Since 2019, we have received HVE (High Environmental Value) Level 3 certification to keep vines working sustainably.
