    The producer, Alvarez de Toledo (Duke of Alba), has been known as a well-known family comparable to the Spanish royal family since the 15th century to the present day.
     The winery is located around the heart of Bierzo, Virfranca del Bierzo, and is the place where the traditional Spanish varieties "Mencia" and "Godello", which have been attracting attention in recent years, have been cultivated. The vines are remarkably old, 40 to 60 years old, and the wines produced can be said to well represent each variety and Bierzo terroir.
