TENUTA SAN PIETRO
Tenuta San Pietro is a historic winery located in the hills where the San Pietro Monastery, one of the early Benedictine monasteries, was built in Tassaro, the Gavi DOCG production area. All vineyards are located in the hills (300 meters above sea level). The hills is a central part of the production area of Gavi, just be a specialist with the true producers of Gavi. The soil contains fossils and shells from the sea. This indicates that the area was previously submerged in the sea. The salt and minerals they contain add flavor to the wine. The total area of the winery is 65 hectares, of which 35 hectares are cultivated with grapes, and the expression of terroir by microclimate is practiced using organic farming. We respect the deep connection with nature and its circulation, and practice cultivation methods using organic farming and biodynamic farming. Growing up according to these principles means practicing the outlook on life that Tenuta San Pietro strongly believes in, and working in a vibrant and healthy environment. The admired variety "Cortese" in Piedmont, northern Italy, has reached perfect maturity in the warm climate of the Gavi village, influenced by the Mediterranean Sea, making it an exceptionally graceful wine.
